I have been following the work of British artist Jake Wood-Evans for some time now. His fascination is with the works of the old masters, and his work is inspired by the old classics, both in terms of colour and choice of motif. With skilful brushstrokes, however, he literally dissolves them in parts and thus creates something quite independent, contemporary and yet classic.
Jake Wood Evans tempts me to give it a try too and adopt the colour concept of an old work for one of my works.
